The Veterans Capital Markets Career Forum (VCMCF) is a non-profit dedicated to helping Veterans transition from the military to careers in financial services. We are seeking a volunteer Veteran Coordinator to help us in this important endeavor. The VCMCF works to educate veterans on the types of roles and opportunities that exist in the securities industry and then helps motivated individuals navigate the process of seeking and preparing for job openings at securities firms.

We seek an individual to help in all phases of these activities. The candidate will work with partner organizations to invite Veterans to attend workshops. They will follow up with interested participants to advise them on strategies to enhance their chances of getting and succeeding at interviews by connecting participants to industry experts who can provide guidance. They will also track metrics to enable continuous process improvement to ensure quality service to our deserving Veterans.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has significant financial services experience and would like to volunteer their time and abilities to help Veterans who have given so much to their country.

• Passionate about helping veterans
• Prior capital markets or financial services industry experience
• Flexibility to volunteer 8-12 hours per week
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Organized and self-motivated
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Project management experience is a plus
