Mary Ann Callahan is a financial industry leader with extensive experience in post-trade clearing and settlement and a commitment to advancing innovative strategies, digital technology and global cooperation.
In 2025, she completed a four-year term at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Trading and Markets as a senior policy advisor in the Office of Clearance and Settlement.
Prior to that, her career spanned three decades at DTCC, where she served as managing director in New York and London. She was also later a managing director at State Street Corporation and served as an advisor to innovative fintech firms, Paxos and Securitize. She is a global ambassador for financial services with Global Blockchain Business Council and received its public service award in 2025.
She has an MBA in Finance from NYU Stern and BA from Manhattanville University.
Although not a veteran herself, her late father was a senior master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II and in the Reserves during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. She also grew up in Cornwall-on-Hudson, one town north of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
